Northern White Cedar:  Grown right here in Northeast Wisconsin.  Fine, even grain with a light brown to reddish color and a characteristic spicy scent.  Very light, low density , and soft.  Popular choice for its durability and natural look.

Eastern Red:  Our most popular cedar option we offer for its unique color.  Heartwood is bright reddish-purple, contrasting with white sapwood; it deepens to reddish-brown.  Famous for its strong, pleasant scent.  The most dense of our three cedar offerings.  Highly resistant to decay, insects, and moisture, it doesn't shrink, warp, or swell much, offering good longevity for exterior projects.

Western Red Cedar (only offered as our 1-1/2" thick option):  Beautiful rich colors (amber to deep honey brown), unique texture, and grain pattern enhance any project.  Light soft wood like Northern White Cedar.
